While steerhide leather bindings around the hand opening will handle the wear and tear of regular play.

The aforementioned materials are of tremendous quality which results in a  stiffer feel and will require a break-in period, but the rolled welting on the backs of the fingers provides shape for the glove, which helps it break in faster!
